BridgeWell Trust

Bridging the gap between people who need dignified work and the businesses that need a hand.

The Idea

A bridge, not a handout.

BridgeWell Trust is a membership-based workforce and business exchange in Greater Richmond. It connects neighbors who need structured, term-limited work with small businesses that need affordable, fractional help, turning two unmet needs into one shared solution.

For people who need work

Structured, term-limited independent contractor roles, matched to real businesses, with support and safeguards built in. A real step toward steady income and a stronger resume.

For businesses who need help

Affordable, low-commitment fractional talent, vetted and ready to work. Small businesses get the operational support they cannot always afford to hire full time.

Who It Is Built For

The people the market overlooks.

BridgeWell opens a door for people who are too often shut out of stable work, and treats them as the capable contributors they are.

Single parents
Citizens returning to the community
People with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Veterans
Young adults aging out of foster care
People in recovery
Neighbors facing homelessness or poverty
Anyone ready to work and rebuild

How It Sustains Itself

Work that funds the mission.

BridgeWell is built to stand on its own two feet, not to depend on grants forever.

Fundraising

Donor partnerships, events, and community support that seed the programs and keep them running.

A construction arm

BridgeWell develops general contractors and subcontractors from the very communities it serves. The work generates revenue, and the revenue builds a skilled, home-grown workforce.
